Nasal Polyps (নাসাল পলিপস)are soft, painless growths that develop inside the nose or the air-filled spaces within the facial bones, known as sinuses. They are non-cancerous.
Small nasal polyps may not cause any noticeable symptoms. However, larger polyps or clusters of polyps can obstruct the nasal passages, leading to difficulty breathing, reduced sense of smell, and frequent infections.
Nasal polyps can occur in anyone, but they are more commonly seen in young and middle-aged adults. Medications can often reduce their size or eliminate them, but in some cases, surgical removal may be necessary. Even after treatment, nasal polyps have a tendency to recur.

নাসাল পলিপস হল নাকের ভেতর বা মুখের হাড়ের মধ্যে থাকা বায়ু ভর্তি খালি জায়গায় (সাইনাস) তৈরি হওয়া নরম এবং বেদনাহীন অস্বাভাবিক বৃদ্ধি। এগুলো ক্যান্সার নয়।
ছোট নাসাল পলিপস সাধারণত কোনো লক্ষণ দেখা দেয় না। তবে বড় পলিপ বা পলিপের গুচ্ছ নাকের পথ বন্ধ করতে পারে, যার ফলে শ্বাস নিতে অসুবিধা, গন্ধ না পাওয়া এবং সংক্রমণের ঝুঁকি বাড়তে পারে।
